really liked it
bookshelves: epic-fantasy
Read in April, 2016

The characters last. Fitz is not easily forgotten, nor is his story easily put aside. It was quite well written, by what seems to be a polished and restrained author. As the story progressed, as Fitz grew, more was revealed, more detail and background uncovered- but not all. Nor were the facts explicitly spelled out- Hobb seems one of those rare and treasured authors who trusts his readers to be smart enough to figure it out.
