did not like it
bookshelves: first-reads, own-it

So far I am really not liking this book. I won it as a free giveaway and am never one to turn down a free book! Sadly, though, I should have realized from the description of this being the author's 30th book that it would not be for me. It feels way too "mass-market" and not literary enough for my "highbrow" tastes. I will give it a try and see if I can get to the end, but so far it seems really unrelatable and undeveloped!

Update: just finished, and yes, it does pull the reader on, but no, I would not recommend it to anyone unless they like the kind of books that get turned into made-for-tv movies on Lifetime. The book was too overly-dramatic and cliche and predictable.

Definitely not my type of read...

cheryl glad i'm not alone in feeling doubtful when i see an author has hit the double0digits (times three!) in books written.
