it was amazing

I've always wondered if Agatha Christie were any good. Sure, she's written a billion mysteries and sold even more, but was she a skilled writer or just some popular thriller. I was pleasantly surprised to find that she is a more than capable writer with a sharp imagination. This Poirot mystery was a delight, relying on perfectly constructed and consistent characters, intelligent yet unadorned prose, and a complex story. An entertainment for the mind. I plan to read more of her...

Petra You're right Andrew, this summer's audio selection that we listened to on our road trip to camping seemed silly and wasn't a good reflection of Christie's writing. I'm giving PD James another try.
