Taking the first step to get over my Chick Lit shame. Here I am, reading a predictable story about a woman wronged by her man and rescued by another (handsomer) man with a dark past. So it goes. As much disdain I had for this novel, and more specifically for myself, I ended up being very taken with it! It had fun nineties throwbacks (land line phone conversations!!!), sarcastic streams of humorous fantasy, and one verrrrry romantic sex scene. I will admit that the plot was a bit cliche--oh well. I like love stories. Especially those involving handsome, KIND men. And especially those where the woman finds her true self in the end!!! Thanks Marian Keyes. I'll read your stuff again.

Britta I read this when I had Bridget jones withdrawal . Not a good substitute. Have you read where the heart is? It has a kind hero/love interest.

Amanda I have not.

Hooray for the kind hero/love interest. I think they exist in real life, too. :)
