I have enjoyed every Lisa Kleypas book I've read so far, which is what made Someone to Watch Over Me such a disappointment. The writing was beautiful, and the love scenes were delicious, but everything else fell flat. The hero was a jerk, the heroine was annoyingly naive, and the plot wasn't just flimsy, it was bad.

I'm in no hurry to finish this series, though I have too much respect for Ms. Kleypas's writing ability to be put off her entirely. Everyone has a dud once in a while and this is certainly one.

81.0% "Not my fave Kleypas book by far. The hero is a huge jerk, and the plot is flimsy. Still, the love scenes are hot, and the prose is, as always, excellent."
