really liked it
bookshelves: adult-series, 4-stars

The historical research and the descriptions are very vivid. This book is almost like a Little House on the Prairie with an adult rating.
There are some parts that were frustrating due to the change of narrator and the amount of time left before explaining events. At some points, I wondered if I had missed something in the reading or if the author just decided not to explain the rest of the story, only to have the narrator change later on and explain everything.
I enjoyed the story, a bit slower than the earlier books but better than Voyager.
