“A great war with demons is coming” – Sebastian

Sebastian aka Jonathan has absconded with Jace and they are in hiding. Jace and Sebastian are connected through dark magic. Clary gives herself over to Jace to be taken into hiding with Sebastian. Clary soon discovers, Jace is not himself but controlled (lead) by Sebastian and Sebastian has a secret agenda. She realizes she must attempt to save the world or Jace. She might have to choose and might not be able to save both.

Clary’s friends search for a way to separate the bond that ties Jace and Sebastian, and they will stop at nothing to save Jace. They even are willing to blur the lines between good and evil. Choices are made that will change their lives forever, choices that can never be taken back.

This is an unpredictable thrill ride from beginning till the end. Cassandra Clare keeps you on the edge of your seat, heats up the romance all around and makes you free fall into the chaos created by the characters choices. Through out Simon was the ultimate friend, Isabelle had surprising insight and major character growth, Magnus his wonderful self, Maia and Jordan making a pretty good team, Alex…let me just say I had the desire to bitch slap Alex silly, what the heck!!! (Ok, now that is out of my system) The book was another fantastic addition to The Immortal Instrument Series! I just have to say there is a lot of similarities between Will (The Infernal Devices) and Jace…. Who is Brother Zachariah, or better yet who was he??? HMMM! … and finally it left me saying - NO NO NO you can’t end the book now!
