Hm..? What can I say about the second installment of the Madly series? I'm usually very easy to please when it comes to books, but this one just let me down! The first book, Madly, really kept me interested! I had such high hopes for Madly and Wolfhardt. Unfortunately, Leighton decided to focus more on the love story than the actual story. By the 5th chapter it was pretty apparent that Madly and Jackson loved each other and couldn't be together, blah blah blah. I forced my way through it because the snippets where the characters were actually doing something other than pining over each other were really good!! I love the mermaid thing, the lore, and Atlas. I just wish there would have been more of that and less teenage angsty love. I gave this book three stars because I'll probably still read the third book, but only if it's a 2.99 kindle read like the rest. le sigh.
