it was ok

I agree with the other readers. Very disappointed. I love Anita and crew but Laurell's books now just bank on smut (and I'm not averse to smut) but there is no story. This outtake epitomizes the fall of the Anitaverse. I am about done with Laurell and, especially for the prices, can find better reads elsewhere.

Teresa You're right I really over-rated, only because her writing per se is ok. It is really the lack of content and story for the out-take, the continued smuttiness in lieu of content, and marketing. If it had been billed as an outtake and not a stand alone story I probably would not have been so disappointed. And it is disappointment, not really dislike. I usually reserve 2 stars for books I really dislike. I was not going by the wording on the stars here but have adjusted my rating now.
