I read this as a galley copy on my kindle. Very excited that I wouldn't have to wait until the book's release. I became a Tana French fan with her first book Into the Woods. That story stayed with me for days. She is such a good writer that you just keep going even if you are not sure you want to. My favorite, hands down, has been Faithful Place. Broken Harbour was good. Well written, etc. But...because I know what she can do with her characters I just kept waiting for the other shoe to fall, the life changing mistake or decision to be made that would decide the futures of the major characters. And sure enough she did it. Left me with real down feeling. That's when I realize the reason I loved Faithfull place so much was she left her main characters with some degree of hope. All her books are good but it is so much better to feel hopeful after reading them then depressed. Broken Harbour also has a stretch in the middle that is too long, too much talking talking talking that wore me down.
