think he was innocent. LeCarre meets Dame Agatha.

The Hiss Trial is considered one of the most dramatic in American Hiss-tory.

Sketchbook Weinstein's history of writing this book is equally dramatic. He began thinking Hiss was innocent and had several sessions with him. Then, as research continued, he had a Eureka! moment. My god, he realized : of course Hiss is guilty--.
