Undead (Undead, #1)
Alice Liu's review

I almost didn't finish this book. The beginning was fairly linear, with the characters' sarcasm and snarkiness seemingly their only motivations. I'm glad I continued though. The characters began to develop and the action ramped up as their personalities created a fuller picture. I really liked how everything came around full circle back to Bobby, the heroine. Still, toward the climax, the characters' continued argumentativeness and egotism delayed their escape, resulting in near disaster. There is room for being cute and snarky but, seriously, hundreds of zombies are chasing you and your friends, but you need to run back to take your leather jacket back from one of them because it makes you look cool. Things like that kept interrupting the the emotion of the action. Overall still a fun read.
