Samantha is a good girl living next door to a family that is large and messy (according to her mother, at least). But all of a sudden she finds herself involved with Jase, the boy next door, and ingrained in this family, almost by accident. But when her mother makes some bad decisions, will she have to choose between her own family and the family next door? I liked this one. Not as much as I wanted to, but it was ok. My teens, however, will eat it up. It's a sweet read with some interesting moral dilemmas. There is some sexual content and language, but it works for the plot and characters. Good summer read for older teens.

Emily Grossenbacher Pote so, worth reading?

Ally For you, it's definitely worth at least a skim. It's cute. Also, I don't have the same collection development restraints that you do, and there is some sex and language.
