I took my time reading this and am glad I did. Tana (we're pals so I call her by her first name) has a very florid writing style that can be offputting in large doses. But I loved this book - once again Tana presents an almost implausible storyline and makes you believe in it wholeheartedly. I thought the characters were much more fleshed out than in In the Woods, and the book practically begs for a second reading so you can see what you missed the first time around. Unlike In the Woods, Tana resolves everything (well, almost everything) at the end, although I was surprised that I was satisfied even without the the loose ends being tied up. I can't wait to see what she writes next.
