Enjoyable book where the author shares her experiences growing up as an immigrant to the United States. Written with humor and with out self-pity, it might be easy to overlook the pain she alludes too, especially after the Iranian revolution. It is always good to remember that the U.S., a nation made up of immigrants or the descendants of immigrants, has not always been kind to new immigrants.

Holly For additional Iranian perspectives, I recommend Persepholis I & II, graphic novels by an Iranian immigrant to Europe.
