it was amazing

Excellent. Howey's prose style is clean and straightforward, he pulls the story right along, and there's a payoff at the end of the book. Get the omnibus, not the individual stories. Had I read the first one by itself I wouldn't have gone on--not because the story was bad, but because I don't "do" bleak. Well done, Hugh.

original note so comments below make sense

Almost done with this. I'm glad he kept going after the original "Wool," because I would have gone to bed with my covers over my head curled up in despair. :)

Kate Sherrod Magnificent stuff, this. And Howey says more stories yet to come, hooray!

MeiLin Miranda Most of my despair would have been how bleak the original story was. I try not to do bleak. Life is bleak enough. ;)

Kate Sherrod Life may be bleak, but Juliette is glorious!
