really liked it
bookshelves: action-adventure, dystopian

I'm pleased to report that "The Drowned Cities" is a fantastic sequel that far surpasses "Shipbreaker." It has better characters, more interesting themes, and stronger worldbuilding all around. The eerie, sunken ruins of Washington DC, populated by warring bands of child soldiers, makes for a compelling dystopia. Be warned - this is not a book for the squeamish!
