Wendell Berry always enlightens, educates, elevates and envelopes my senses. I love both his prose and poetry. In this book, I find a renewed interest in society and people. Though I find him slightly extreme in his conservative proclivities I find this to be a bright beacon that calls me home. His words of kind and stern observations lifts me from my own narrow pound and also elevates my anxiety with regards to overwhelming global awareness and set my sights on the local social nurturing and aligns me with respect for life what is required to live as light footed on this earth and with quality.
