I chose the Ninth Grade Slays because the librarian recommended it to me since I am a Cirque Du Freak fan. The book is about a teenage vampire named Vladimir Tod who is trying to escape from the Vampire council due to his existence from a non vampire mother. My favorite quote was "He says that if you get invited to one of the senior parties, that some of those girls take pity on the lower classmen and they'll-" Aunt Nelly walked into the kitchen. She glanced at their, frozen startled expressions and raised an eyebrow. "What are you boys talking about?" They answered in one wavering voice "Nothing!" I liked this quote because it was funny and that sometimes I can connect to this when talking to my friends. The author wrote this story in 1st person omniscient. He used a lot of humor and dialect to keep the reader reading page after page. I would actually not recommend this book although the first one was pretty good.
