I read an early copy of the ebook, so my copy was full of typos and bad formatting. Underneath that was a sweet story about a girl and a dude who helped paint the world. The only thing I could think of the earth painter and his buddies is that they were some kind of angel, because they were not quite human.

The relationships were realistically written, from the girl's problems with her controlling mother, to her friend who has an abusive boyfriend. Dilemmas facing lots of teens today. It's a nice story with nice characters, and even when the girl's fighting with her mom, it's not as vicious as some other books.

The ending was kind of ... left field. Not what I'd expected. But there's a sequel coming out, so that should fix it.
