really liked it

While Carole King is no stylist (though she comes across as honest, sincere, and thoughtful), she has a great story to tell! It all comes alive so vividly as she moves from Brooklyn and doo wop to the songwriters' cubicles at A&M and the birth of rock 'n' roll to Laurel Canyon and the psychedelic '60s to "Tapestry" and James Taylor and folk rock. She never met a challenge she couldn't handle...and she's had her share! She's an inspiration to women everywhere.
