I am impressed with this potty training method. What I like is how much it incorporates various learning styles. Auditory instruction, visual demonstration (both by family members and through use of a doll), kinesthetic practice, behavioral rewards, as well as physical impulse (using drinks as a reward to heighten the need to potty).

I am also impressed with the rapidity of the method. Many of my friends have taken months to train their children, yet this book talks about an intense half day session, followed by about 1 - 2 weeks of accomodation for learning and then you are done. It also includes instruction on how to handle messes productively (by using it as an opportunity to practice again).

It should at least be noted that this book was originally published in 1974. Some of the language/ tone/ verbiage is dated. This may be distracting to some readers.

We will be trying this soon and then I'll finish my review...
