D.B.C. Pierre's novel Vernon God Little, depicts a young teenager named Vernon Gregory Little who is wrongly accused of being an accomplice to a school shooting. This novel, written in modern day crude language, tells the story of a boy who just wasn't accepted into society. Pierre somehow makes every character seem like they have a little something wrong with them. Each character develops the plot. The novel follows a Vernon as he fights the judicial system and attempts to escape the wrongdoings of society. The novel has flashbacks that piece together the ending, that in my opinion ended to nice for such a depressing mood of the book.

I liked this novel, but it was not my favorite. I did not like the crude language that much but if you do, then there will be obscenities on each page. This book appeals more to teenage males because some of the more graphic scenes involving some of the characters. I would also advise anyone who wants to take a break from the usual to read this novel.
