really liked it

Author Darcie Little Badger first came onto my radar when a short story she wrote was featured in an episode of LeVar Burton Reads. When I learned that she was dropping her debut novel this year, I decided to check it out. Upon reading a preview of it, I knew that I had to get my hands on a copy.

"Elatsoe" is an incredible debut work. Ellie is a likeable and courageous character, so are her family and friends, the world building is incredible, and the mystery that she finds herself investigating grows with intrigue the more it builds. It's a rollicking adventure; one that I found myself breezing through because of how good it is. While I felt that the ending was a tad rushed, it's just a minor flaw when compared to how brilliant the overall novel is.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming works from Little Badger in high anticipation.
