This is intense, steamy and spine-chilling. Noah comes home to sell the house he inherited from his uncle, the house he grew up in. He had not been back in 10 years, leaving after having a fight with his uncle, his mom telling him to leave. Max comes to the house to investigate paranormal activity supposedly there. She was invited by Noah's uncle Robert, and was surprised to find Noah instead of Robert. Noah sends her away, he refused to perpetuate the fiction he thought it was. But when Max tries to leave, a torrential downpour starts, so Noah lets her stay. The attraction that sizzles between them causes tension too, because Max tries to get Noah to accept that he's a witch, and he doesn't want to acknowledge that she could be right. She does slowly convince him, and together they learn that he is very powerful. Unfortunately Noah doesn't trust what he feels for Max, he doesn't trust that it's not witchcraft. The story kept me intrigued until the end, it also kept me awake.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
