Interesting, creepy zombie book. I like the spin on the reason why the zombies came to be - from the outbreak of a virus caused by the rotting & pollution from hurricanes & storms battering Houston/ Texas. The book is told from multiple points of view, which I don't always enjoy, but was very appropriate here. The ending, as most other people said, was left a bit unresolved - and frankly, I didn't really buy the change in character that seemed to happen to Captain Shaw towards the end. He was built up as such an honorable man throughout the book, that I just didn't see him wanting to kill Eleanor - no matter what. And the author did such a fantastic job of conveying the mayhem and madness happening throughout this crazy time, that I don't think anyone should have made it out alive. But despite my problems with the ending - this book is pretty damn creepy and if you like that sort of thing (which I do), then it's certainly worth reading.
