I received a copy of this book through the Goodreads First Reads program. It was the story of Abby, a college student and Merrideth, the girl Abby is tutoring over the summer. The setting is a small town in Illinois with a surprisingly rich history. At first the girls have a hard time connecting with each other dispite Abby's best efforts. They discover a strange computer program which sets the girls on a journey through history and helps them to learn something about themselves and bond with each other as they follow the life of a young girl named Charlotte. It was an enjoyable story and anyone who likes to study history should find this a good choice to read.
