An interesting concept which contained a few holes. But I let the holes go and enjoyed the ride. I had a hard time believing Nas really couldn't figure out who Reyn really is/was earlier in the story. It seemed pretty obvious to me. Speaking of obvious, there was very little air of mystery around the "bad guy" at River's Edge. Duh! And because of that, the big reveal, which I guess was supposed to be the story's climax, was so ho hum. All that aside, I was glad to have book two ready to pick up immediately after finishing this one. (Mostly because of the fact that there are major items left unaddressed at the end of the book, which I would have loathed ardently had book 2 not been ready to go.)
