it was amazing

Really, I hate zombies. Of all the monsters out there, they turn my stomach the most, and seem the scariest. Unfortunately, my husband (who ironically hates all OTHER scary movies) LOVES zombie movies. And zombies are everywhere these days -- it's trendy to be undead and all rotten with your teeth and skull showing... sigh. BUT.... there's always a but, isn't there? We started watching the Walking Dead tv series, and I'm absolutely hooked. Don't get me wrong, though -- it's not the zombies that I love. It's the story. And the characters. And the thoughtful, provocative scenarios. After watching two seasons of the series, and discovering that the first 48 issues of the comic book (yes, I have been known to read comic books in the past) were bound up into one big, huge $50 compendium ($35 on Amazon) I decided to jump all over it. I haven't been so hooked on a good read in a loooooong time. They're up to issue 95 in the comics world, now, so Compendium #2 is rumored to be out this fall. I think I'll be checking in at Amazon so I can get it as soon as it's published...
