Wow, what a twisted journey that turned out to be! Told from three (?) viewpoints, this amazingly well-constructed psychological thriller does not let up the suspense for a second, and the ending took my breath away. My hat is off to anyone who reads this and guesses the killer as it was a complete surprise, and unlike Feeney's first book, SOMETIMES I LIFE, this left no doubt as to the outcome. Definitely one of the best domestic suspense novels I've read in a long time.
Note: If you're getting "psychological suspense fatigue" (yes, it's a real thing), read this anyway.
Another Note: Read this with caution (or not at all) if the small element animal cruelty in the plot is a trigger.
