"Martha had yet another lover..." Really? It was just too hard for me to set aside what I know of the holocaust and be OK with diplomats fraternizing with Nazis, particularly when the daughter keeps sleeping with them, and the press, and the Russian KGB agent, and the writers, and the guy at the party, while everyone drinks champagne as if this is one of the Great Gatsby's parties and not Germany in 1933.
