This is the second book in an apocalyptic YA series about what might happen if a meteor knocked into the moon and nudged it closer to Earth. I really enjoyed the first book's plot, although the voice of the main character annoyed me. This one doesn't have that issue. The story is awesome, and the main character and his family are completely riveting. Where the first book focused on how the catastrophe affects a high school girl and her town in Pennsylvania, this one revolves around a young Hispanic man in New York City during the same events.

Can't wait to devour the last book in the trilogy, where their two stories will intertwine, and presumably we'll find out what the future holds for Earth in this new environment!
