it was amazing
bookshelves: children-s-lit, classic, fiction, picture-book

There's a great possibility that this review will be a little biased because this was one of my favorite books as a child. A little cricket is born early in the morning and he can't make a sound no matter how hard he tries. Creatures are friendly to him and try and engage him in conversation but he just is very quiet. Will he ever find his voice? The fun moment at the end will make readers giddy and this is definitely one to consider when discussing Carle's work.
