This is the first Easy Rawlins book that I've read and I really enjoyed it. Easy is a private detective in LA in 1967. He starts out looking for his friend when the friend leaves his daughter on Easy's doorstep to care for. His longime friend Mouse has also disappeared and his wife has hired Easy to locate him. What a cliffhanger at the end, we will wait and see what happens! Micheal Boatman does an excellent job narrating the audio.
