In the acknowledgment, Ms. Spagnoli states this book is about her life but with embellishments; thereby making it fiction. She uses police mugshots, investigative photos and news clippings to remind the reader how real the story is. [Some are gruesome and perhaps should have a warning for the faint of heart]
Regardless of where the truth blends into tapestry, Spagnoli spins a captivating tale about Mafia life in ‘80s and ‘90s Vegas.
Kudos to her for bringing the reader into her world so vividly. Kudos also to John L. DeBoer for his editing expertise.
This was a quick and fascinating read, which makes me want to interview Ms. Spagnoli in person (as if I need a reason to go to Vegas!). Highly recommended!
