liked it

A hint of a Flowers in the Attic vibe. Most of the book is enjoyable and compelling, and I liked the narration on the audiobook a lot, but the red herrings, the promise of twists where there were none, and the twists that aren't really twisty detract from the novel. Still, I might have rated it higher were it not for the ending, which I found profoundly disappointing.
