it was amazing

Loved this book. Still Alice was recommended because of the subject matter. Alice is a brilliant professor at Harvard who suddenly begins to recognize lapses in her memory. Being young, she blows these lapses off as symptoms of menopause. It wasn't until she gets lost in very familiar surroundings that she makes an appointment with her doctor. After testing she is delivered the diagnosis of younger onset Alzheimer's.
Still Alice is wonderfully written. It documents the sorrow, disappointment, and fear a person goes through once they are diagnosed, but it does so in a light hearted way. There were many parts that had me laughing.
I recommend Still Alice to those who have cared for someone with Alzheimer's disease and for those who have not. It will open your eyes to what this disease is really like.
