This was another fun short story featuring supernatural investigator Brennan and his pet rat Riz, with whom he has a love-hate (or something like that) relationship. When Brennan takes on a delivery job, he isn't happy to find out he's essentially smuggling a captive Brownie. Naturally, Riz makes things worse, and the pair (and Brownie) end up scrambling to get out of trouble.

I enjoyed how folklore gives a background to the story, and it's always fun to see the pair's bickering.

Look forward to reading more stories with the intrepid duo.
