Pretty bleak portrait of a community in western PA. They still hark back to the steel mill days when the area was booming. Though it has been many years since then, the people cannot seem to let it go and accept their current situation. As one young man, Isaac, plots his escape, things go from bad to worse. As you are reading, you feel somewhat hostage to the tragic chain of events. Even as you are thinking, "don't let this happen", it does. Finally, you are left with just an empty feeling.
