Merged review:

This is a short novella, approximately 60 pages, that follows the escapades of Jessica McClain. Jessica is a 19 year old human female born into a pack of werewolves. Because of the fact that she's not a born wolf, she is mistreated, beat up, and challenged to fight nearly every wolf with a vendetta against her. She's been called a curse, a witch and the Daughter of Evil by the superstitious wolves who she grew up with. Everyone, with the exception of her father, brother, and a few others, believe her birth signals the end of their way of life.

On her 19th birthday, she challenges a so called weaker Alpha-Born wolf to a fight. She knows it's the only way to get the rest of the pack to back down, and to have her father acknowledge that she needs to be allowed to leave the pack life once and for-all and go to the police academy where she's already been accepted.

I'm not going to go all hog wild on this review, but, I will say that the action is intense, and well written. I'm excited that the first book in the series called Full Blood, will release in September 2012. There's a nice little sneak peek at the book at the end of this novella.
