I read the words of this book but I'm not exactly sure what I read. I have this image of all of Faulkner's characters in these repeat loops and the end harkening back to the beginning did not help this impression! Super disappointed to miss the class discussion on this one but As I Lay Dying is next, so even though I feel I need to discuss and start again, instead I move onward....

(I hope I can come back and say more about the book.....)

Sophie You are a better woman than I am, Jenny. I couldn't get through 20 pages.

Brian Finch I haven't touched a Faulkner book since college. I remember enjoying the class discussion way more than the book. However, I am curious how I would to see how I would respond to it now that I am old(er).

I'm not sure what I comprehended it but I pushed through.

It could be interesting ....

Kirk The Sound and the Fury is a tough one to start with. I always recommend As I Lay Dying and Light in August, and to save S@F and Absalom Absalom for when you're more acclimated. All are great though.
