Woven in Moonlight (Woven in Moonlight, #1)

The world was very well developed though I wish the magic system was a little more clarified, especially when it came to the origins of the Llacsan’s magic. I adored Ximena as a main character because she was a strong female, loyal and full of conviction. She grew a lot as a character throughout the novel and was open and willing to change her views based on new information she received. I do wish it had been about 50 pages longer, especially with it being a standalone, as certain points felt a bit rushed. Overall, though, it’s a very solid novel with a lot of heart. If you’re looking for an own voices novel, one with a latinx inspired world, or one with an empowering female protagonist, then I definitely recommend giving this one a try!
