really liked it

When the I heard of the concept of a Jane Austen mash up with the un-dead who eat brains a couple of years ago, I thought: this is going to be a desecration of a classic.

I wish I still could say the same, but, in all honestly, I really, really enjoyed Seth Grahame-Smith's influence on the novel. Zombies made Jane Austen more compelling! Exciting! It pushed the plot line along in a way that is just lacking in the original.

Mind you, 90% of it is still Austen, but, a few ninjas here and there don't go astray.
The spin offs seem to be getting a bit excessive, but as an original concept, Go Seth Grahame-Smith! You've done well.
