Over 80 images, Stanley Donwood chronicles the evolution of the world, from the swirling lines of sea, the rising of the land and the eventual formation of life.
Time passes and civilisation rises...this story does not have a happy ending.
Donwood is an artist well known for his monochromatic lino-cut style and producing the artwork for Radiohead's albums and I loved examining the pictures throughout this book!
Probably the only book I've "read" with no words, the images are striking and I'm so glad I got to experience it.
