A charming story about a young parakeet who wants to be a superhero and help other animals in the Australian outback where she lives. She makes herself a mask out of grass and a cape from a leaf before setting off in search of animals in need of help. Unfortunately things don’t quite go according to plan and in the beginning everything she does seems to make things worse.

Written in simple easy to read words with beautiful illustrations Honey the Hero is an ideal book to share with young readers and the pictures are sure to capture their imaginations. It shows children how even when you're small you can make a big difference, and how good it feels to help someone in need.

This would make the perfect bed time story and is the first in an ‘infinite’ series of books with birds, for children aged 3-6 years.
