A satisfying end to one of the all time classic scifi stories. As a book on it's own it perhaps isn't as good as the previous instalments. The endless political bickering is annoying and the introduction of Jackie's daughter Zo as a POV character seems pointless and all too brief.

One of the best things though was the latter half of the book and the failing memories stryline. It's something that has always frightened me about growing old (granted I don't expect to be 250yo) and the sudden death problem the first 100 survivors have keeps the readers interest a little while more.
