10.0% "I'm really starting to dig the way this tale is being told. It has an authentic ancient quality to it (and some promising growing dread & mystery!). I'm sure part of that is because of the vagaries of translation from Japanese but, whatever the case, I'm enjoying it."

63.0% "I'm starting to see a pattern emerge. The chapters based directly on the game, describing Ico And Yorda's adventures through the castle, running up endless staircases and fighting off shadow creatures, are repetitive and more than a little clunky. I don't know if it has something to do with the translation or if the author was simply hampered by the constraints of the games slim, pre-existing story."

63.0% "But, the chapters concerning the characters histories, the parts the author concocted from whole cloth, more than make up for the weaker sections. The story is fairly basic, good versus evil, light versus dark, evil queen, imprisoned princess, and yet, maybe because of its very Bros. Grimm classic structure, it strikes a chord in me, and I look forward to where the last third of the story will take me."
