I don't know why I was under the impression that this book was the final in the series, but (SPOILER ALERT) clearly it is not.

I loved the first book in this series and the premise is still fascinating, but it's lost some shine with each installment. I'm not sure if I would've read this one if I'd realized it wasn't the conclusion of the series.

I appreciated that the story moved to the US and present-day for the most part, which made everything feel fresh again. But overall, I had trouble being excited about it. Granted, I was reading this book while going through a hard personal situation), but there were so many factions at play and the big action didn't really come until the last 15% or so.

I don't know if I'll read future installments. The concept may have worn too thin for me.
