My littles picked this up at a library sale and I okayed it without looking through it. We read it later at home and oh my, is this funny! It's not your typical alphabet book because each letter gives you a word that doesn't start with that letter - it's the animal pictured that starts with the letter. So A is for Salad and you have an Alligator eating a salad. We loved this clever play on words and had a fun time guessing the animals.

I think this would really only work with kids who had a pretty good grasp on the alphabet, otherwise they might get really confused. A fun book to read for a giggle; even the older boys enjoyed it.
