Charming collection of blog entries about a family's year in Paris. For me, the author's age makes this stands out from (and stand above) other recent books about falling in love with Paris. Probably a 3-star worthy book, but I bumped up a star b/c I was so happy to be reading about a woman I'd like to be friends with now (rather than the kind of scattered 20-something I myself was and would have been friends with then).

This is more about raising kids (ages 10 and 16) as they navigate Paris schools and friendships, than it is about the city's sights and patisserie, etc. (though I loved that the author went to some off-the-beaten-path museums). The fun "B" plots are about daughter Anna's developing friendship with classmate Domitella, and about the Italian mother-in-law spoiling the family chihuahua.

Good writing, delivered in short chunks (reminded me of a haiku collection). Perfect when your attention span is a bit short.
